Replace a Linear Bearing

The frame has collars w elded to it that secure each end of the chrome rod. Use a 1/8″ hex wrench to loosen a set screw in the collar at each end of the rod on one side of the table at a time. Slide the chrome rod out of the frame and bearings on one side of the table.

Use snap-ring pliers to remove the retainer clip from one end of the bearing. The original bearing will slide out of the steel tube on the frame.

Use the snap-ring pliers to install a retainer clip on one end of the new bearing and insert the bearing into the frame. Add the other clip to retain the bearing. bearing
