How to align thoracic & lumbar drops
- Turn the tension knob so that there is not enough tension to keep the cushion up when you pull it with your hands.
- Begin with the cushion resting on the frame. Grasp the cushion on the sides and pull up. It should collapse freely. If you feel a degree of resistance when lifting then the shoulder bolts which the cushion rides up and down on are slightly out of alignment.
- Refer to the drawing. There is a glide bolt on each side of the cushion which is secured to the underside of the cushion with two hex head bolts. Use a 7/16″ wrench to only loosen the two hex bolts.
- Grasp the cushion to lift and let it collapse several times. This properly aligns the glide bolts to the frame again.
- With the cushion collapsed, stabilize it with your hand on top while you retighten the two hex head bolts on each side of the cushion.
