How to tighten pelvic rotation (1993-3/2006)

Looseness will occur in the pelvic end of the table IF a gap develops between the three components pictured below. They can be viewed from the bottom, no cushions need be removed. If there is a gap between any parts identified:

1.Turn handle to unlock rotation.

2. Loosen the set screw of the crossbar collar

3. Draw the three components tightly together. You can do this with a clamp.

4. Retighten the set screw.

5. You may opt to drill and add a roll pin to prevent this from happening again. See the attached sheet.

NOTE: Tables after March 2006 are pinned (per sheet 2) so this should not be a cause of looseness. Next cause would be lock adjustment for tables before 2004 or a new Mechlok for Jan 2004 and later.

Once the instructions from the first sheet are completed you may opt to add a roll pin to secure the crossbar. It is drilled and inserted from the bottom side, as shown below.
