Add a Threaded Insert in a Cushion

ADD A THREADED INSERT IN A CUSHION

  1. If there is no hole at the necessary location, use a 3/8″ bit to drill a hole through the plywood.

If there is a already a hole , try to allow the 3/8″ bit to enter to 5/8″ depth. It is recommended

that you wrap a piece of tape around the drill bit to mark this depth. The insert will still work if the bit goes through the plywood.

  1. Use a flat bladed screw driver in the notch on top of the insert to thread it into the hole. Theend of the insert must be flush to the surface of the plywood.
  2. The 1/4-20 x 1″ long hex bolt that is enclosed will secure your part in the brass insert.
