Replace AC Tech Brand with WEG Brand

KIT 11-066

AFT DRIVE

Replace AC Tech Brand with WEG Brand

REMOVE THE AC TECH DRIVE

  1. Locate the red push button switch under the arm rest which is used as the patient switch to stop flexion. Carefully pry the front cover w /switch off the enclosure and disconnect the two wires from the back of the red button.
  2. Disconnect the black, white, green power input wires from the AC Tech, leave the cord in place.
  3. Disconnect the red, white, black, and green motor wires from terminals U,V, and W on the AC Tech, leave the cord in place.
  4. Separate the pink and black rectifier wires from the two blues near the AC Tech drive, leave the blue wires in place
  5. A Black w /white stripe extends from an ice cube relay and connects to a wire leading to the reed switch near the motor under the leg cushion. The wires connect close to the AC Tech drive, separate them.
  6. Unbolt and remove the original board.

INSTALL THE DRIVE

  1. Mount the new board with drive to the table.
  2. The new cord (gray) to the motor will pass under the leg cushion and must be routed and secured the same way as the original to prevent damage. Remove the cover plate from the electrical box on the motor and unthread the retaining ring around the cord restraint so the original cord can be removed and the new inserted through the retaining ring and restraint. Strip each wire and crimp on a male connector. Connect each color in place of the original.
  3. The 12-lead cord extends to the control box. Route the new cord along the same path as the original and secure it in the same way to prevent dam age. Remove the front panel of the control box and carefully disconnect each wire from the switches and speed potentiometer. Pull the original cord out of the back of the control box. Insert the new cord and connect each color to its original term inal. A wire diagram is attached.
  4. There is a new cord with clear insulation (speaker) that exits the new drive and should be routed up to the arm rest along the same path as the original. Insert the end through the rear hole of the enclosure, then strip both wires, and crimp small female connectors. Connect the two wires to the back of the red switch.
  5. The rectifier has six wires. The Blue(2), Yellow and White wires should have already been connected. The Pink and Black wires will connect to the blue wires leading to motor that the original Pink and Black originally connected to.
  6. POWER INPUT TO DRIVE, GROUND WIRE (Black cord):

Follow the route of the White and Black power wires connected to the WEG drive at terminals L1 and L2 down to connectors on the wires. The new cable will replace the same section of the original power cable.
