Add a Push Button Switch to Cut-off Power

1. Elevate the table to its highest point.
2. Unplug the table.
3. Remove the screws securing both sections of skirt.
4. Use the enclosed ” wood screws to secure the metal box with switch to the underside of the cushion. Use the two cord restraints to route the cord along the underside of the cushion.
5. The cord should follow the scissor tube down toward the capacitor/motor area. Secure the retractable cord to the scissor tube with wire ties.
6. Find the black wire running from the power cord to the black wire of the foot pedal and separate them where they join with crimp connectors. The black wire of the new retractable cord has connectors that can be inserted into the two separated wires.
7. Plug the table in and test to make sure the table responds to the new switch. Don’t adjust the height much since the skirt is not attached properly.
8. Replace the skirting.
