Replace a Pedal Assembly
REPLACE A PEDAL ASSEMBLY
PARTS: 1. pedal assembly with connectors crimped to leads
- Heyco cord restraint
- wire ties (if needed for that particular table)
3. Use the pedal to elevate the table.
4. Unplug the table.
5. Remove the six screws that secure the plastic enclosure (the “skirt”) to the steel base. The enclosure can be held up, out of your way, with tape or string.
6. Squeeze the cord restraint with pliers where the original cord enters the base and pull it out.
7. FOR TABLES BUILT AFTER OCT, 2010 which have a green circuit board: Write down each wire color and it’s terminal identification from the green board.
8. Disconnect the switch wires and cut any wire ties that secure the cord to the inside of the base. Remove the original cord. The connectors will pass through the hole in the base if one or two are passed through at a time.
9. Insert the new cord, one or two connectors at a time, through the base and follow the original route so that it terminates at the original location. IF connectors were not already on the colored wires then use the original cord as an example for how far to strip insulation so that you can crimp connectors to each color to be used.
10. Connect each color to its original termination.
11. Plug the table in and test the functions by momentarily pressing each side of each pedal.
12. Secure the cord to the base with wire ties.
13. Install a cord restraint where the cord enters the base.
14. Secure the plastic enclosure (skirt).
