Replacing a Corded Pedal

BASE – Replace Corded Pedal

PARTS

corded pedal, crimp connectors on leads

Heyco cord restraint

wire ties (3)

DIRECTIONS:

1. Use the Height pedal (if it functions) to elevate the table.

If the pedal does not function the height of the table might still be enough that, if the steps 3 and 4 are done, you will be able to access the area where the wire is connected inside the base. If not, the table will need to be accessed from the bottom.

2. Unplug the power cord from the wall receptacle.

3. Remove 6 screws that secure the inside section of plastic skirting to the base.

4. Use tape or string to hold the skirt up so that you can access the wiring.

5. Use pliers to squeeze the cord restraint where the pedal cord passes through the metal strip on the base and pull it out of the hole.

6. Disconnect the white, black, green, and red wires where they connect to the same color wires on another cord inside the base.

7. Pull the original cord out and insert the new through the same hole in the base strip.
WARNING! – It is important to also squeeze and return the cord restraint into the hole to prevent damage or injury.

8. Connect the wires as before.

9. Test

10. Relocate & secure the skirt
