Adding Flow Control Valves (Valve Restrictors) to Air Drops

Flow Control Valves (Valve Restrictors) can be installed easily to slow the speed a drop raises automatically and will help soften the impact of the air drop raising/cocking onto your patient. Their function is to restrict air into the cylinder for a particular drop and can be adjusted to your preference.

Every cervical air drop already has this adjustable valve.

Installation Time:

5 Minutes

Tools Needed:

Pair of scissors or wire cutter snips

Part needed:

H10108 Flow Control Valve

Instructions:

Step 1: Identify the hose of the cylinder that you would like to control air flow to.

Step 2: Cut the hose with a pair of scissors 2″ from the cylinder intake fitting.

Step 3: Insert each end of the cut hose into each end of the Flow Control Valve. Note: The Valve has a unidirectional orientation labelled on the Valve (See Photo).

Step 4: Open or close the Flow Control Valve to your desired speed.
