Replace Gast Air Compressor

1. Use the height pedal to elevate the table. UNPLUG the table.

2. Let all pressure out of the system by pulling the ring on the steel air tank. Note: It will hiss loudly when first pulled.

3. The best access is achieved by removing both sections of plastic enclosure. They are secured with six screws each. The open end of the outer section is pulled out and down at the same time to release it from the top frame.

4. Disconnect the air line from the elbow fitting (A) at the top of the compressor. It is a
quick disconnect. Press the colored ring into the elbow fitting as you tug on the hose.

5. Disconnect the top WHITE wire from the original capacitor (B) by pulling the connector
straight out.

6. The original black compressor wire is joined to the white power wire with a red butt end
splice crimp connector (C). Locate the splice and cut the white wire where it enters the splice.

7. Unbolt the compressor from the bottom of the base. If the table has a rocker foot pedal mounted to the side of the base, the table should be lifted from the head end until it rests on the fully retracted ankle cushion. If the base does not have a rocker pedal then it can be tilted from the side to access the bolts.

8. Reverse these steps to install the new. Your new compressor should have a splice crimped to the black. Strip about 3/8″ of insulation from the white wire you cut and connect.
