Replace the Reed Switches (Tables made February 2008 – June 2009)

Parts:

Reed Switch – H6852
Cord – H6853
Cylinder Clamp H6854

Secure the reed switches on the cylinder with the band clamps as shown. See sheet 3 for assembling the band clamp. Locate them at the same location as the original switches so that motion will stop at the same position as original. For reference the dimensions to each switch from steel plate at the top of the two inches (upper) and 5 7/8 inches (lower) to tip of reed switch.

Reed Switch Mounting

1. Remove the black plastic cap from the screw and then screw from the cylinder clamp. The cap will not be reused. Wrap the strap around the cylinder and slide the small plastic block over the hole so that when the plastic block is secured, the clamp will be snug enough to retain the reed swtich at the desired location on the cylinder.

2. Orient the parts as shown in Photo 1 to insert and tighten the screw.

3. Use needle nose pliers to roll the excess strap as in photo 2.
