Replace the Glide Bar Guide

1. Unhook the two extension springs from between the cross bar and distraction frame.
2. Remove the retaining clip from the end of the chrome shaft.
3. Remove the distraction cylinder clevis pin by removing the clip on the pin
4. Loosen all set screws on the original glide bar guide. There are two on each of the three collars. Refer to the new bracket for locating them.
5. Glide the end of the distraction assembly off the end of the two chrome rods to create a gap large enough (about 1 inch) to fit the original glide bar guide when it is also slid off the end.
6. Use a hammer to tap each collar of the original bracket alternately to move the glide bar guide down the three rods and off.
7. Reverse the steps to install the new bracket.
