Tension Knob Friction Plates

1. remove the tension knob.

2. Thread the knob into the plastic guide until 1 1/8″ of the rod sticks out the back.

3. Return the rod to the spring tube. the face of the plate should be against the frame as the end of the rod begins to engage the threads. Adjust the rod until the relationship is such before threading the knob in.

4. Position the plate, center punch the two holes and drill 3/16″ holes in the frame.

5. Use the enclosed 10-24 x 3/4″ long flat head screws and nylon nuts to secure the plate.
